I served as assistant City Attorney for Newport before being elected to the position of Prosecuting Attorney of the Third Judicial District of Arkansas -- including Jackson, Lawrence, Independence and Stone Counties -- for three full terms from 1966 through 1972.
During this time, I was appointed to the Board of the Arkansas Crime Commission and served as chairman for five years.
After 17 years of general practice as an attorney in Newport, I moved my practice to Little Rock, focusing on trial work. In addition to my regular duties as a lawyer, I have taught at seminars sponsored by the Arkansas Bar Association and Arkansas Trial Lawyers' Association.
My wife Marian and I have three sons, David A. Hodges Jr., Craig
Hodges and Matthew Hodges, and four grandchildren, Madison Nicole
Hodges, Robert David Hodges, Hudson Armstrong Hodges, and Harrison
Griffin Hodges. |
